1 Cor. 11.1 Imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.
Paul challenges us to follow him as he follows Christ. So our example influences others for good or bad. Let’s talk about our examples and the examples of others on us.

Mt.6:33 But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right — the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.
Phil.3:8 But more than that, I count everything as loss compared to the priceless privilege and supreme advantage of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord [and of growing more deeply and thoroughly acquainted with Him — a joy unequaled]. For His sake I have lost everything, and I consider it all garbage, so that I may gain Christ,
Jesus deserves first place in our lives, let’s talk about it.

Prov. 14:12 There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, 
But its end is the way of death.
Prov. 19:3 The foolishness of man undermines his way [ruining whatever he undertakes]; 
Then his heart is resentful and rages against the LORD [for, being a fool, he blames the LORD instead of himself].
For us to live in the blessings of God we must follow His instructions

Jabaz understood the greatest power in one’s life was the POWER OF THE BLESSING.

His mother named him Jabez because his birth had been so painful. 10He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request.

Deut.8:2-3 And you shall remember [always] all the ways which the LORD your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, so that He might humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart (mind), whether you would keep His commandments or not.
He humbled you and allowed you to be hungry and fed you with manna, [a substance] which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, so that He might make you understand [by personal experience] that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD.
The dealings of God are to humble us, expose what is in our hearts and educate us to our true source of life. Join me as we talk about it.

Rom 15:57 Therefore, [continue to] accept and welcome one another, just as Christ has accepted and welcomed us to the glory of [our great] God. The power of believing in and affirming one another is one of the most empowering forces we have. As we have freely received from God, let us freely give to all the ministry gift of acceptance. You will never get me where I need to be in Christ until you love receive me where I am. Let’s talk about it.

1 COR. 14:1-5 Pursue [this] love [with eagerness, make it your goal], yet earnestly desire and cultivate the spiritual gifts [to be used by believers for the benefit of the church], but especially that you may prophesy [to foretell the future, to speak a new message from God to the people].
For one who speaks in an unknown tongue does not speak to people but to God; for no one understands him or catches his meaning, but by the Spirit he speaks mysteries [secret truths, hidden things].
But [on the other hand] the one who prophesies speaks to people for edification [to promote their spiritual growth] and [speaks words of] encouragement [to uphold and advise them concerning the matters of God] and [speaks words of] consolation [to compassionately comfort them].
One who speaks in a tongue edifies himself; but one who prophesies edifies the church [promotes growth in spiritual wisdom, devotion, holiness, and joy].
Now I wish that all of you spoke in unknown tongues, but even more [I wish] that you would prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater [and more useful] than the one who speaks in tongues, unless he translates or explains [what he says], so that the church may be edified [instructed, improved, strengthened].
Why did Paul wish we all spoke in tongues? Why does Satan fight the spiritual gift and cause confusion about them? Be brave and join me as we seek answers about spiritual gifts.
